I have found a pretty good way to increase my contact with Orthodoxy without having to travel. This is through reading from various Orthodox websites (some of which are listed on the links page on our website). In doing so I have come across several authors whom I have found to be helpful. Once a person begins to read through many of these posts, you can begin to get a better sense of Orthodox living, faith and worship. Recently I came across a writing, done a few years ago by a priest in Abilene, Texas. It caught my eye initially because of the title of the article, “Post-Christian Culture: The Coherence between Our Creeds and Our Deeds”. It interested me because we are very much aware of the effect of a Post-Christian culture upon the life of the Church. It is very much worth reading. The author Priest Philip LeMasters is quite interesting.

The second article link I am posting is by our very own Metropolitan Hilarion. It was posted on the Orthodox Life site and is quite a good article discussing the history and martyrdom of the Royal Martyrs of Russia who were executed. Their faith was a testimony to those who came after and they were canonized saints. Again well worth reading.
